Grand Canyon Gallery
It was a bit cool on the south rim of the Grand Canyon in mid-April 2004, but the weather was perfect and the sunlight permitted us to take excellent photographs. I believe these three capture the grandeur and color of the Canyon.
The first picture was taken at Montezuma Castle National Monument, at Camp Verde, AZ as we stopped to stretch our legs on our way to Williams, AZ.
El Tovar Lodge and restaurant is very popular and busy. It sits right on the rim of the Canyon and has excellent panoramic views of the Canyon. It was built in 1905 and has undergone several modifications and a large-scale renovation in 1983.
On the way back from the Canyon, the train is stopped and boarded by "desperados" adding hilarity to the already fun and enjoyable trip.
